Disney Females: Living in America Part 3/3

What if all of the Disney females lived in modern American cities? Which ones would they choose to live in?

(*Note, I comprised this list of where they would want to live as a free-choosing adult, not where they would have been born and raised. That is another list. PS: If this post sounds familiar, it's because it used to just include the Princesses but I decided to add the other Disney females to the list!)

For the sake of organization, I have chosen to divide the characters by "regions", which include: Pacific, Rocky Mountain, Southwest/Desert, Midwest, Northeast & Southeast (there are pictures to show which specific states are included in these regions.)

Northeast Region

Wendy: Hartford, Connecticut

A "slew of historical attractions, a thriving arts and entertainment center, a revitalized riverfront and beautiful parks and public gardens." Like Neverland, this town offers culture, imagination, inspiration, entertainment and natural beauty; however, unlike Neverland, this town is much safer, friendlier and family-oriented. This makes this town the ideal place for Wendy!

Penny: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Attina: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Jasmine: [Manhattan] New York, New York

"When people think of New York City, Manhattan is often the first place they picture. It’s no wonder: the borough is home to big-name attractions, such as Central Park, the Empire State Building, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the High Line and One World Observatory; world-class museums, restaurants and concert halls; and the bright lights of Times Square and Broadway. But there's more to the borough than the obvious sights. Manhattan contains charming neighborhoods and hidden green spaces, trendy boutiques and classic bars." Jasmine grew up very lonely in the palace, seeking company and adventure. Manhattan is flooded with people and offers more than enough activities for Jasmine to explore, making this an ideal location for her. In addition, many of the people who live here are just as outspoken and individualistic as Jasmine is, so she would fit in perfectly.

Pocahontas: Concord, New Hampshire

Concord is the capital city of New Hampshire. It’s home to the State House, a gold-domed building dating from 1819, with a visitor center and the Hall of Flags. Music, comedy, dance and theater are staged at the Capitol Center for the Arts. The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is a science museum with interactive space-themed exhibits and a planetarium. The Susan N. McLane Audubon Center has trails and wildlife. This town has the perfect blend of respect for nature, as well as appreciation of culture. Pocahontas would love the fact that she can take a canoe ride in the morning, watch a play in the afternoon and learn more about the stars at night. In addition, the people here value wisdom and maturity, two qualities that this princess definitely embodies.

Honorary Mention - Thumbelina: Providence, Rhode Island

Meg: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Coincidentally enough, Megara very much embodies Philadelphia as a female character. She has that snappy dialogue/banter that is very Philly-style, and she also has a tough personality like the women here. She'd fit in here perfectly.

Mulan: West Point, New York

Kida: Washington D.C.

"Washington DC is a hub for American politics and history. Attracting as many school field trips as it does travelers the district offers a peek into the country’s democratic origin. There are plenty of free museums to take advantage of but the real draw here is the memorials and monuments dedicated to great American leaders. Spend some contemplative time at the Reflecting Pool within the National Mall, among the most patriotic places in the country." Kida is a natural born leader with a desire to explore and learn from the past in order to be better prepared for the future. This makes the nation's capital an ideal location for her, because DC is rich with history and tradition, but also eager to strive for progress and open-mindedness. As someone who takes being a leader and being responsible for others very seriously, this would be the perfect place for Kida to pursue her leadership abilities.

Elsa: Buffalo, New York

"Buffalo is a city on the shores of Lake Erie in upstate New York. Its fine neoclassical, beaux arts and art deco architecture speaks to its history as an industrial capital in the early 20th century. Its landmarks include the 398-ft art deco City Hall, the Frank Lloyd Wright–designed Darwin D. Martin House and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, a Greek Revival museum with works by Picasso and Warhol." With so much architectural history and artistic culture here, it's no wonder that Elsa would love this place. In addition, some of the most beautiful waterfalls are nearby and the population is not as overwhelming and claustrophobic as in New York City, making this a pleasant and relaxing place for Elsa - something she desperately needs!

Moana: Annapolis, Maryland

Disney Females: Living in America Part 2/3

Rocky Mountain Region

Snow White: Missoula, Montana

"Nestled among converging mountain ranges, Missoula, a former lumber town, recently woke up to find it had become a hipster utopia. How did it happen? Could it be the growing presence of the University of Montana? The plethora of artists who hang out downtown? The two big documentary film festivals?" A pleasant small-town that is starting to expand is the perfect place for Snow. She would absolutely adore the family-friendly environment and has the perfect amount of optimism, friendliness and spunk to help the town branch out.

Aurora: Denver, Colorado

"Get major-city sophistication in a location that is one of the world’s natural wonders. Obviously a hub for those seeking the Rocky Mountain ski slopes, Denver is also home to four major sports teams, major museums and a wide variety of neighborhoods that make the city a destination in its own right." Natural beauty and sophisticated activities make this the perfect home for Aurora! She would especially love hanging out in nature, whether by the several lakes and natural parks or in the more structured botanical gardens.

Southwest/Desert Region

Tiger Lily: Santa Fe, New Mexico

"Venture into the unspoiled beauty of 7,000-foot Rocky Mountain vistas, marvel at the contrast of ancient native culture mixed with modern arts, feast on legendary cuisine and relax in rustic sophistication." Very similar to Tiger Lily's village on Neverland (modernized version). With such strong ties to her home and family, Tiger Lily would never want to leave!

Tinkerbell: Las Vegas, Nevada

"Las Vegas, in Nevada’s Mojave Desert, is a resort city famed for its vibrant nightlife, centered around 24-hour casinos and other entertainment options." Just like Neverland, it's a place for "all fun, all of the time" - and also like Neverland, there's not a lot of responsibility and/or parenting going on. This is perfect for Tink's outlook on life.

Southeast Region

Anastasia Tremaine: Charleston, South Carolina

Ariel: Austin, Texas

"Austin is known for its eclectic live-music scene centered around country, blues and rock. Its many parks and lakes are popular for hiking, biking, swimming and boating." There may not be a more perfect place for Ariel than Austin, Texas - a small liberal hub in the center of a large, very conservative state. (Just like how she felt growing up in Atlantica.) This city is often called "the live music capitol of the world", another reason for it being a perfect match for Ariel, since she loves music so much! As if those reasons weren't already enough, this city also offers a ton of opportunities for physical activities and exploring, something Ariel's certainly not going to want to miss out on!

Adella: Houston, Texas

"America's fourth-largest city is a cosmopolitan destination, filled with world-class dining, arts, hotels, shopping and nightlife... There's always something to do in this Southern hospitality meets urban chic city." Adella is a sentimental romantic who lives for love, so this is the perfect dating-city for her! Carriage rides, exceptionally outstanding food and strong family and moral values make this an ideal hometown for Adella.

Andrina: Virginia Beach, Virginia

"VA Beach is packed full of the friendliest and hard working people, providing you with incredible things to do, thrilling and daring attractions, a large variety of mouth-watering cuisines and restaurants, scenic hiking, and plenty of events that will keep you and the family entertained for your entire vacation." Andrina is a witty person who loves gossiping, exploring and swimming with the dolphins, which makes this the perfect place for her! This place offers boat tours to see dolphins and holds a Neptune Festival every year with tons of opportunities for Andrina to show her wit or catch up with her friends and family. She will never have to worry about life being "too boring".

Arista: Miami, Florida

"This glamorous neighborhood is famed for its colorful art deco buildings, white sand, surfside hotels and trendsetting nightclubs." More than anything, Arista loves listening to music and just having fun, which is what makes this party-city such an optimal place for her! This city is just as fun-loving and easy-going as she is: party on the beach!

Honorary Mention - Anastasia Romanov: New Orleans, Louisiana

"New Orleans is one of the world's most fascinating cities – it's home to a truly unique melting pot of culture, food and music. Come down and experience New Orleans, one of America's most culturally and historically-rich destinations." Anya loved what Paris had to offer: fashion, fun, music and excitement! While New Orleans may not be as fashion-oriented as Paris is, it definitely still has the right amount of fun, music and excitement that Anya desires in the French Quarter. In addition, New Orleans has a big-family feel to it, something Anya would especially appreciate since "home, love and family" are what she seeks out the most in life.

Charlotte: Savannah, Georgia

"It’s known for manicured parks, horse-drawn carriages and antebellum architecture... Savannah, Georgia is a charming Southern escape where art, period architecture, trendy boutiques and ghost stories are all set under a veil of Spanish moss. Savannah is a place where cuisine comes straight from the coast and cocktails are served at every meal." This town is very similar to New Orleans but with more romance and decadence, making it an even more ideal home for Charlotte! It is known for being one of the most beautiful towns in America and offers the perfect setting for her desired lifestyle.

Anna: Orlando, Florida
